Example Web Sites

There are a number of different approaches to serving up geospatial data and maps on the web. Some of these are easy and work well. Others are much more challenging.

Activity

Take a look at a number of web sites and ask your self the following:

• Who is the web site for?
• What value is it providing?
  • Specifically, what features does it provide?
• What geospatial data is required?
• How is the data being provided (i.e. tiles, vectors, text)?
