Abstract:

Public trails within the Na Ala Hele Trail and Access system, are managed and maintained by Na Ala Hele Trail Specialists at DOFAW's district offices. Information was compiled and digitized by DLNR/DOFAW from various sources, 1998-2000. For a highter accruacy some trails have been GPSed and/or overlayed onto satellite imagey to verify accuracy. Updates provided 2002, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016.Latest update - September 2017.

Purpose:

This dataset depicts the general geographic locations of statewide Na Ala Hele trail and access for the public use. This dataset is to be used in tandem with the trail's datasheet that describes in detail the exact location, route, amenities and hazards. DO NOT wander off marked trail as it may be hazardous.
